03/22/12: James Klotz, the admin over at www.governmentattic.org, clued us in on two interesting articles that should wake up anyone to the state of our diminishing freedom and privacy. It’s enough to make you reach for the antacid tablets when you consider how technology is is going to be used, how little most of us realize what is going on out there, and how little any of us can do about it unless we are willing to rethink our own society and our own responsibilities.   The CIA wants to spy on you through your TV: Agency director says it will ‘transform’ surveillance

  •  In short, the CIA Director, David Petraeus, says that web-connected gadgets will ‘transform’ the art of spying – letting spies monitor people without planting bugs, breaking and entering or even donning a tuxedo to infiltrate a dinner party.

“We Are This Far From A Turnkey Totalitarian State” – Big Brother Goes Live September 2013 A well-written and very worrisome article from zerohedge.com(by Tyler Durden) about the activities of our favorite 3-letter agency, the NSA. A few selected excerpts:

  • ” The scope of surveillance expands from there, Binney says. Once a name is entered into the Narus database, all phone calls and other communications to and from that person are automatically routed to the NSA’s recorders. “Anybody you want, route to a recorder,” Binney says. “If your number’s in there? Routed and gets recorded.” He adds, “The Narus device allows you to take it all.”
  • “According to Adrienne J. Kinne, who worked both before and after 9/11 as a voice interceptor at the NSA facility in Georgia, in the wake of the World Trade Center attacks “basically all rules were thrown out the window, and they would use any excuse to justify a waiver to spy on Americans.”
  • “Sitting in a restaurant not far from NSA headquarters, the place where he spent nearly 40 years of his life, Binney held his thumb and forefinger close together. “We are, like, that far from a turnkey totalitarian state,” he says.”

Did you ever read the book, WATCHERS by Dean R. Koontz?
The NSA is the Outsider! I do not believe they intended to become the Outsider, but that is what happened.
For anyone that read that book, they will know exactly what I mean.
